Te Tikanga Māori

Māori people are the indigenous residents of Aotearoa New Zealand developed a unique culture with Te Reo Māori (Māori language), a rich science, philosophy, mythology, distinctive crafts and performing arts, such as prominent warrior culture and Kapa haka. Early Māori formed by iwi and hapū (tribal groups and subtribes), based on Polynesian social conventions. Genetic studies inferred the fact of Polynesian population migration and variation around Pacific Ocean. The mitochondrial genome (DNA) can be used to trace our ancestors who were migrating out of Mainland South Eeast Asia, China and Taiwan.
